Site building process
Initial Consult & Getting Started
Together we will answer questions like:
Who is your Main Target Audience
Goals of building a website
User needs & business needs
Example sites you like and dislike
Content requirements and website function requirements.
Project schedule & key decision makers
Budget
Mood Board
If you have a brand guide, I will follow the guidelines within that document.
If you do not have a brand guide, I will create a mood board: a few images, color choices, typefaces, and icons/illustrations. Once approved I will be able to reference this to make design choices.
Site Map & Wireframes
A site map is essentially a flow chart for how the website will function.
Wireframes are basic outlines of what to expect on each page.
Mock Ups/ Drafts
Mock-ups intend to look like to final design, and often times I will send a link so that you can click around as if it’s a real site.
Build Out & Hand Off
Once we have an approved draft I will build out the site and make it live.
I will never charge you a month retainer fee, unlike other website designers. The only monthly fees you will be required to make are the hosting fee and domain fee ( none of these are paid to me.)
I recognize many of my clients are small businesses like my own, and being able to access the site on your timeline and make changes is critical. I will provide tutorial videos to make basic updates on your site yourself. If you need additional help, reach out and I will simply charge an hourly rate to help make changes.
